About

The name of this blog comes from my favorite verse in the Bible, 2 Corinthians 12:9. The English Standard Version reads, "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

Often I think of my obsessive-compulsive disorder as my own "thorn in the flesh", like the mysterious thorn the Apostle Paul writes about in the earlier verses of that 2 Corinthians 12 chapter. OCD can be debilitating. But through the "thorn" of my OCD, the grace of God shines, and through my suffering I am able to be a beacon of hope and light to others.
